Teen charged after golf course stabbing
BBCA teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed on a golf course in Staffordshire.
The victim, aged in his 60s, suffered knife injuries on a public footpath through Stafford Castle golf course, on 14 May. He remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital, Staffordshire Police confirmed.
The force said the charged suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is aged 17, white and of Bulgarian nationality.
He has also been charged with theft, and is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday.

A 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been released with no further action.
Police have urged people to avoid speculating about the attack while legal proceedings continue.
