Parents of boy found alone in McDonald's located

The parents of a young boy who was found unattended in a McDonald's in Leeds have been located following an appeal, police have said.

Officers were called to the Briggate branch just before 10:00 BST following reports the child, thought to be about eight years old, was by himself.

According to West Yorkshire Police, the boy, called Sebastian, was described to be of black heritage and wearing an orange T-shirt, grey shorts and blue ear defenders. He was holding a Sonic the Hedgehog stuffed toy.

Police said inquiries in relation to the incident were ongoing.
