Ben Fogle ventures deep into the jungles of Guatemala, once home to an ancient Mayan civilization. Mike Merrill, a former sound engineer from Texas, is building a backpacker’s hostel in this land of rivers, waterfalls and active volcanoes. Reality of life in the jungle hits hard, Ben gets stuck into building projects, machete fishing and tubing a dangerous river to transport vital supplies.
