The timepieces made by Thomas Tompion come to auction at Sotheby’s, part of one of the biggest private collections of watches ever to come to market. Bonham’s are selling a unique Rolls Royce, nicknamed the Phantom of Love, made to order in the 1920s by a man for his beloved wife. It’s expected to fetch over a million pounds.
