Drifting driver 'showed disregard for others' safety'
Getty ImagesA man who drove his car close to pedestrians showed a complete disregard for other people's safety, police said.
Mohamad Almustafa, 23, of Kingsland in Telford, Shropshire was given a 12-month driving ban and a community order after admitting a charge of dangerous driving.
He was prosecuted as part of an operation targeting car cruising in Shropshire, West Mercia Police said.
PC Mark Smith said: "Footage of his dangerous driving was shared online and contributed to celebrating a culture which that endangers communities, puts lives at risk, and damages the reputation of responsible motorists.
The court heard how Almustafa was identified in March after officers discovered videos showing him driving his BMW dangerously in Halesfield in Telford, West Mercia Police said.

However, he did not film the footage and was not arrested but instead was sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution and later charged with dangerous driving.
