A consultation into the future rates of minimum wage in Jersey has been launched.

The Employment Forum listens to people, trade unions and businesses before making a recommendation to the social security minister.

The island's minimum wage is currently £13.59 after it rose from £13 in April.

The forum said its consultation would look at "all aspects of the financial and economic conditions" in Jersey and its online survey was available until 10 July.

Carla Benest, chair of the Employment Forum, said the board was "looking forward to engaging with employees and employers and business and trade union organisations right across the island and in all sectors of the economy".

"I'd encourage everyone with an interest to take part," she added.
