Police have appealed for information

Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Sally Spencer, of the Major Crime Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died."

She added: "This is a complex investigation that is still in its early stages, and we are actively pursuing a number of inquiries to understand exactly what has happened."

Police went to the address following reports made to them "around a concern for welfare".

The woman's next of kin have been informed. Formal identification and a post-mortem examination have not yet taken place.

The force said a "scene watch" had been set up on East Moor Drive.

Anyone with information has been asked to call police on 101.
