Rail passengers in the Midlands are being warned of potential disruption after a broken rail forced trains to skip several stations and replacement buses were brought in.

Rail services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham are unable to call at Willenhall, Darlaston and Tame Bridge Parkway after the fault was discovered near Wolverhampton on Thursday, West Midlands Railway said.

Rail replacement buses have been arranged between Wolverhampton and Tame Bridge Parkway while engineers carry out repairs.

Passengers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys, with disruption expected to continue until the end of the day.
