Appeal after man, 23, dies in single-vehicle crash

A man has died after a single-vehicle road crash in North Devon, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the driver of a black Audi A3, a 23-year-old local man, was confirmed deceased after the crash on an unclassified road between South Molton and North Molton at about 19:00 BST on Saturday.

Officers said the incident was attended by South West Ambulance Service, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and police.

The force added that it was investigating the crash and appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision or had dashcam footage to come forward.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a second local man in his 20s, who was a passenger in the car, was injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

It added that the road was closed while officers investigated the scene.
