Eleventh person arrested in attempted murder case

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a street.

It brings the total number of people arrested to 11, following the incident in Topaz Close, Huddersfield, at around 22:30 BST on 11 May.

The 30-year-old victim suffered serious leg and head injuries and remained in a critical condition in hospital, police said.

A number of properties have been searched across Huddersfield as part of a "significant investigation" into the incident.

The 10 people previously arrested - including two men and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted murder - remain on bail.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.
