Early election voting set to open in Jersey
BBCPeople wanting to vote early in Jersey's general election can do so this week.
A pre-polling station in St Helier will be open from Tuesday through until Monday 1 June.
Voters from any parish can cast their votes at at St Paul's Centre.
Jersey's general election will take place on 7 June.
The pre-polling station will be open at the following times:
- Tuesday 26 May: 08:45 BST – 17:00
- Wednesday 27 May: 08:45 – 17:00
- Thursday 28 May: 08:45 – 17:00
- Friday 29 May: 08:45 – 17:00
- Monday 1 June: 08:45 – 12:00
The States Greffe said "Early voting is open to all voters and provides a convenient, flexible way for islanders to cast their vote in one venue, regardless of where they live in Jersey".
The polling station will be at St Paul's Centre in Dumaresq Street in St Helier.
Anyone wishing to use the polling station is encouraged to bring photo ID. You can also use Yoti, JerseyMe or a recent utility bill.
Those without ID may face delays to casting their vote, until their identity can be verified by officials.
