Elderly man seriously injured in collision

A man in his 80s has been seriously injured in a crash on a dual carriageway in Berkshire.

It happened as he was walking on the A321 Marshall Road in Sandhurst at about 12:15 BST on Sunday.

The southbound carriageway close to the Laundry Lane junction was closed following the incident involving a white Ford Ka.

The man was taken to hospital. Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses.

PC Greg Jones of the Roads Policing Unit urged drivers with dashcam footage or information to get in touch, adding: "I would like to sincerely thank all road users in the area for their patience today whilst we completed our enquiries at the scene."
