Driver admits causing life-threatening A303 crash

A man admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist was hospitalised with life-threatening injuries.

Wiltshire Police said a BMW R1250 motorcycle and a Toyota Yaris car collided on the A303 eastbound near Bulford at about 17:50 BST on Saturday.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 60s, was rushed to hospital.

The driver of the car, Muhammad Umair, 30, of Sandhurst, pleaded guilty during a hearing at Swindon Crown Court. He was remanded into custody and is due to appear for sentencing at Swindon Crown Court on 26 June.
