As residents across the South are expected to cast their vote in the local elections, dogs felt they have to show support as well.

Elections for seats on city, district and borough councils in Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Berkshire are being held, with polling stations closing at 22:00 BST.

Voters are required to show an accepted photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence.

Most dogs looked enthusiastic to tag along in solidarity but some showed their owners that even the polling station is good enough for a lie down.
