A second person arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a caravan in Leicestershire has been bailed.

Police said emergency services were called to the caravan, which was parked in a lay-by on the A6 Derby Road in Loughborough, at about 23:40 BST on Monday.

The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, with subsequent inquiries finding he had reported being involved in an altercation in the days leading up to being found.

A 42-year-old man, who was the second person to be arrested on suspicion of murder, was arrested on Wednesday and has now been bailed.

Leicestershire Police said a 56-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of murder and was also bailed.

A cordon is still in place at the lay-by on the A6 northbound carriageway while forensic work is carried out, officers added.

Det Insp Mike Chander, from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: "We will continue our investigations today to work to understand the sequence of events that led to this man's death.

"There is significant work going on including forensic inquiries, talking to witnesses and any CCTV opportunities."
