A teenager is in hospital after being shot in the arm.

Merseyside Police were called to Carlingford Close in Toxteth, Liverpool, at 20:40 BST on Wednesday, but believe the shooting happened on Upper Parliament Street.

The 19-year-old man's injuries are not said to be life-threatening, police said.

The force are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information, CCTV or doorbell footage to contact investigators.
