Secluded bay in the south of Scotland goes up for sale
GalbraithA secluded private bay in the south-west of Scotland has been put up for sale.
Morroch Bay and Beach Cottages sit on the western edge of the Rhins of Galloway about 2.5 miles (4km) south of Portpatrick.
Selling agents Galbraith said the site offered uninterrupted sea views and direct access to a private beachfront.
The bay and cottages are on the market for offers over £495,000.

The sale includes a four-bedroom home, one-bedroom cottage, a boating shed, a shepherd's hut and 27 acres (11 hectares) of land.
Morroch Bay is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and contains rock formations considered significant in the understanding of the formation of the Southern Uplands.
It is also home to a wide array of wildlife with regular sightings of seals, seabirds and birds of prey.

GalbraithMorroch Cottage itself previously served as the Morroch Cottage Tea Room which was run by Martha Galloway in the 1920s and 1930s, serving day-trippers from nearby Portpatrick.
From 1990, the current owners operated the cottages as holiday accommodation while also spending extensive time there themselves with family and friends.
Sheena Ramsay, who is handling the sale for Galbraith, said it was unusual for such an "entire private bay on Scotland's beautiful south-west coast" to come on the market.

Galbraith"Accessible yet distinctly private, the two coastal cottages present a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial piece of unspoiled shoreline in the Galloway peninsula," she said.
"Location wise it really doesn't get much better than this."
She said they expected a high level of interest in the bay.
Galbraith"The sale should attract a variety of purchasers be it those looking for a holiday let business, coastal hideaway or lifestyle move ideal for multi-generational living," she added.
"The two cottages are currently operated as highly successful holiday lets, and the business along with its contacts are available by separate negotiation."
