A man's body has been recovered from the River Fowey in Cornwall.

A man in his 70s was removed from the water and life saving measures attempted but he was pronounced dead at the scene, the service said.

It said it believed the incident to have been a "tragic accident" and next-of-kin had been informed, while the family was being supported by specialist teams.
