This afternoon, the mainland will be partly cloudy and mostly dry, excluding the north coast which could see the odd light shower. Breezy on the Isles with patchy cloud and light showers.

Tonight

Tonight, the Isles will have a mix of patchy cloud cover and isolated showers. Any showers on the mainland will dissipate to leave it mostly clear but patchy low cloud and mist may build in the west.

Wednesday

Tomorrow, the Isles will see thick cloud and a few showers move from the west, these more frequent in Shetland. Sunshine on the mainland early on, cloudy skies and drizzle by the evening.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Thick cloud and light showers will sweep north-eastwards over the Isles and west mainland on Thursday which will be breezy for all. Winds will pickup by Friday morning becoming strong on the Isles. there will be variable cloud and showers early in the day which will both clear by the evening. A calmer day on Saturday with early sunshine giving way to low cloud and drizzle.
