1980: How to make a classic English cricket bat

Cricket bats have been crafted in Robertsbridge, Kent since the 1800s. Reporter John Hitchins travelled to the Gray-Nicolls factory to look at the slow process of making a bat, from seasoning the willow wood, to shaping and assembling each part.
