That just about does us for today.

For now, thank you for joining us.

Sunday: Wakefield v Wigan (13:00 BST)

Wakefield star Tom Johnstone previews Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final against Wigan.

Wakefield Trinity winger Tom Johnstone has said the experience of being "manhandled" in England's Ashes defeat by Australia in November led to him changing his physicality.

The 30-year-old was part of Shaun Wane's squad that was swept aside 3-0 by the tourists last year and Johnstone said he has since put on some extra weight.

He will be part of the Wakefield side who host Wigan Warriors in Sunday's Challenge Cup quarter-final, live on BBC One at 13:00 BST.

"I feel good, I had a big off-season. I wasn't quite firing where I wanted to be in the Ashes," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I made a couple of changes and put on three quarters of a stone to a stone to try and be a bit bigger.

"I felt like I got a bit manhandled and I never want that again. I just felt it was men against boys at certain points, especially for me personally, and I didn't enjoy that.

"I feel a lot stronger in my carries and still move pretty well. It was something I decided to switch up and so far it's going pretty well for me."

    Two more fixtures to go.

Then tomorrow we've got Wakefield v Wigan to round off the weekend.

    Speaking of which..

  4. 'We were outplayed today' - Applegarthpublished at 15:49 BST

    FT: Hull KR 48-10 York

York Knights head coach Mark Applegarth told BBC Sport:

"I thought KR showed exactly why they're a champion team today. It was a disappointing start. They left us chasing our tail a little bit.

"I can understand the disconnect given the changes we made. But one thing I am pleased with is that we kept on fighting to the end.

"Congratulations to Hull KR. We'll be alright. We'll stick together. There's some pretty harsh lessons there but as long as we are learning, we'll move forward.

"We weren't naive to not know there would be some scorelines like that this year. Especially if we lost some of our key members. There's a lot of lads hurting in there and it's my job as coach to make sure everyone stays together and doesn't start turning on each other. Sometimes you've got to tip your hat and say you were outplayed and I thought we were outplayed against Hull KR."

  6. 'Another good stepping stone'published at 15:38 BST

    FT: Hull KR 48-10 York

Hull KR half-back Mikey Lewis told BBC Sport:

"We've been building in the past couple of weeks and it's another good stepping stone today.

"We're more focussed on ourselves. We didn't know what team York would put out and we put the focus on being dominant and building our game.

"We did that in the first half but we were a bit scrappy in the second half. But it doesn't matter because we're in the semi-final."

  7. Leigh must respond after last week's Wire thrashing - Lampublished at 15:34 BST

Leigh Leopards boss Adrian Lam said he hopes his side mount a response when they face Warrington Wolves again in the second of today's two Challenge Cup fixtures.

Lam's side were thrashed 42-6 by the Wire last weekend, in a humbling display which means they have lost five of their opening seven Super League games in 2026.

The 2023 winners make the same short trip back to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday hoping to reach the semi-final stage for the second successive season.

"Every week is a good opportunity to kickstart the season," Lam told BBC Radio Manchester.

"Whilst there's a heartbeat there's hope, and I feel very disappointed with the way we played last week, hopefully there's a better response to that.

"We can control a lot of our actions that we did or didn't do last Saturday, so we've got an opportunity to turn that around."

We've got one more Challenge Cup tie today as Warrington face Leigh.

Here's what Adrian Lam said ahead of that tie.

  9. 'There's still things we need to do better'published at 15:29 BST

    FT: Hull KR 48-10 York

Hull KR boss Willie Peters told BBC Sport:

"There's things I really liked but there's things we need to do better, that's for sure.

"Everyone wants to start well. We're no different. We wanted to start well in that second half as well but there were moments when I didn't think we did.

"Every team always talks about a good start and then hopefully you keep momentum off the back. And we did start the game well."

  10. 'Everyone has the same amount of pressure'published at 15:27 BST

    FT: Hull KR 48-10 York

Hull KR scrum-half Tyrone May told BBC Sport:

"Going into every match of the Challenge Cup it's do or die. Everyone has the same amount of pressure.

"All the talk about us being the holders - yes we are, but we also know it's not ours at the moment and we have to go and get it.

[On his hat-trick] "It's nice. most of them were just support tries and it's good to get it when you're supported and it came off today."

  11. 'We're playing like a Hull KR team'published at 15:24 BST

    FT: Hull KR 48-10 York

Hull KR hooker Jez Litten told BBC Sport:

"We're just playing like a Hull KR team and like what people would expect us to play like.

"We're all held accountable for our standards and that's shown over the past three weeks.

"We've got a lot to build on but I'm happy that we've reached another semi-final."

  12. Full timepublished at 15:22 BST

    Hull KR 48-10 York

All over at Craven Park and the holders are through.

Hull KR put in about as dominant a performance as you could expect against an injury-hit York side.

There was to be no repeat of the upset York pulled off against last season's treble winners in the opening game.

Tyrone May's hat-trick and Joe Burgess' late dive to the line put the cherry on top of a thumping Cup win.

  13. try

TRY: Hull KR 48-10 Yorkpublished at 80 mins

    Joe Burgess, goal Mikey Lewis

    It is given.

And Joe Burgess does tremendously well to jump and ground at the corner before he's wrestled in to touch.

Great athleticism. Mikey Lewis gets his kicking boots back on and nails the two to send KR through in style.

  14. TRY REVIEWpublished at 80 mins

    Hull KR 42-10 York

Joe Burgess is over the line at the corner for Hull KR literally on the full-time hooter.

    Will it be given, though?

  15. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Hull KR 42-10 York

    Closing stages, now.

And as you'd expect given the scoreline, the game's calmed down somewhat.

Hull KR win a six-again for a ruck infringement. They're camped in the York half. Can they find another try?

  16. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Hull KR 42-10 York

Tom Amone stretches his arm out to ground the ball over the line for Hull KR.

But a potential eighth try of the afternoon is correctly denied for a wayward forward pass in the build-up.

  17. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Hull KR 42-10 York

Hull KR haven't lost at home since July last year.

That tallies, given how they've played this afternoon.

And as I type that, a rare York race into the Hull KR half sees them run out of tackles 30 metres out.

  18. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Hull KR 42-10 York

Do you reckon Hull KR can cross the half-century mark this afternoon?

Still 10 minutes left in this tie.

  19. try

TRY: Hull KR 42-10 Yorkpublished at 66 mins

    Tyrone May, goal Jez Litten

A second try in three minutes for Tyrone May and he brings up his hat-trick.

Jez Litten is infuluential in the build-up, serves up Jack Broadbent who offloads to May to touch down. Sensational.

And all this happened as Mikey Lewis took a knock. He's still receiving treatment as Litten adds the two.

  20. try

TRY: Hull KR 36-10 Yorkpublished at 65 mins

    Tyrone May, goal Mikey Lewis

    A second for Tyrone May!

Well no sooner do Hull KR force that drop-out do they punish York with another try.

Mayraces through with ease and the hosts have another score and punish another York error.

    Mikey Lewis adds the two.
