Cyclone Freddy: Malawi's president calls for global help
Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwera has been visiting areas badly hit by Cyclone Freddy.
Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwera has called the devastation caused by Cyclone Freddy "a national tragedy" and has promised to intensify the search and rescue operations. He visited the areas badly hit by the storm and attended the funeral of some victims. There are new fears that the cholera outbreak that the country had been enduring before the cyclone, will now get worse.
