
Senegal seals Casamance peace deal
Separatist rebels in Senegal's Casamance province have accepted a deal to lay down arms and end one of Africa's oldest active rebellions.
Rebels in the southern Senegalese region of Casamance have accepted a peace deal to lay down arms. The news comes on the day when Senegal's President Macky Sall’s governing coalition lost its majority following last week's parliamentary elections.
