 | Highlights from McGrath's career

Glenn McGrath picked up his 500th Test wicket by dismissing Marcus Trescothick with the first ball after tea on day one of the first Ashes Test at Lord's. McGrath, 35, found Trescothick's outside edge and Justin Langer took a comfortable catch at third slip.
He followed it up in a stunning spell by removing Andrew Strauss, Michael Vaughan, Ian Bell and Andrew Flintoff.
McGrath stands fourth on the all-time list, behind Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan and Courtney Walsh.
England legend Graham Gooch paid tribute to McGrath: "He's a class bowler, bowling as well as ever at 35.
"He's got control, accuracy and knows what he's doing with the ball."

But Gooch acknowledged the conditions at Lord's favoured the bowlers after Australia were all out for 190.
"The ball is moving around so it's good conditions for him to use."
McGrath made his Test debut against New Zealand in 1993 - the same year he had been selected for New South Wales for the first time.
He came to prominence in England when he took 8-38 in the hosts' first innings at Lord's in 1997 and took 7-76 in the final Ashes Test that summer.

McGrath was named as one of Wisden's five cricketers of the year in 1998 and the following year took his first 10-wicket match haul against West Indies in Trinidad.
McGrath, who has played county cricket in England for Worcestershire and Middlesex, has won two World Cup medals, in 1999 and 2003.
He was struck by injury soon after the second triumph, requiring surgery on an ankle problem that threatened to curtail his international career.
But he took five wickets against Sri Lanka in Darwin in July 2004 and three months later became the first fast bowler to play in 100 Test matches for Australia.
McGrath said recently he believes he can carry on for at least two more years and has set his sights on capturing 600 Test wickets, though doubts he will be able to tour England again for an Ashes series.
