Wisdom to the wise

Prayer for the Day

Available for 29 days

Prayer for the Day presented by Rumbi Tauro. Good morning, In life, there are many moments where I find myself unsure of what the next step should be. Whether it’s decisions about my career or personal life, I’ve realised that not every answer comes instantly. Recently, I’ve been reminded of something simple but powerful: I don’t have to figure everything out on my own. Wisdom isn’t something I need to create within myself; it’s something I can ask for. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” What stands out to me is that there’s no hesitation from God. He doesn’t give wisdom reluctantly or only when we’ve earned it. He gives generously and without judgement. That means even in my uncertainty, even when I feel like I should have it all together, I can still come to Him honestly and ask for guidance. I’m learning that wisdom isn’t always about having all the answers straight away. Sometimes it’s about having the peace to take the next step, trusting that God is guiding me even when the full picture isn’t clear. So when I feel unsure, instead of rushing or overthinking, I’m learning to pause and ask. To invite God into the process and trust that He will lead me. Dear God, thank you that I don’t have to rely on my own understanding. Thank you that I can access you anytime in prayer. Help me to trust you and walk in your wisdom each day, and when I feel lost may I draw closer to you. Amen.
