Teachers warn new GCSE system is pushing staff to burnout and leaving pupils “fatigued” by constant assessments. A Welsh teachers’ union survey has revealed deep concern over the impact of the new GCSE structure, which now places up to 40% of the final grade on non‑examined assessments in some subjects. Teachers report that the volume of marking, moderation and administration has become overwhelming. If you’re in the profession, do get in touch, are you feeling the pressure? Ted the dog who starred in their BBC show Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, has sadly passed away. Ted first appeared in the third series in 2020 and became popular with fans, even being given a lifetime achievement award during the show's 2025 Christmas special, and being credited as the author of two books! In tribute to Ted, we’ll be having a conversation all about navigating pet loss. Tell us your memories of your favourite furry friends. And finally, this year's Panini World Cup sticker album has gone on sale and it's the biggest one ever... with a whopping 980 stickers to collect! And if you’d like to finish it, it could cost you £1,300! Do you still have your old sticker albums? Maybe you still buy them for your children, grandchildren – or yourself! Call or WhatsApp 03700 100 110 or Text 8 10 12. Be part of the nation's conversation.
