Cameroon's kidnapped senator freed
Elizabeth Regina Mundi was kidnapped last month by separatist group
Cameroonian soldiers have freed a kidnapped senator of the ruling party, plus several other hostages, in an operation in the country's English-speaking North-West region, the army says.
Rwandan President Paul Kagame held a phone conversation with his Democratic Republic of Congo counterpart Félix Tshisekedi along with the African Union chairman Macky Sall amid cross-border tensions.
Despite Chad's efforts to eradicate child marriage, the practice still persists in the country which has one of the highest rates in the world.
