Paralympic hopeful must change sport following doctors warning
Scott Bailey, from Crewe, is taking up running and will take part in the 2027 London Marathon, after he was told by doctors he can no longer compete in judo. Scott lost his sight seven years ago, and took up the sport of judo shortly after. He has since been training in the hopes of becoming a paralympian and taking part in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. However, during a routine checkup at the doctors, he was told he would need to stop judo or risk becoming blackout blind. He spoke to BBC's Lee Blakeman about this, and how he has now started running.
