Liverpool to become a 'Spongier' City?
Liverpool is set to become a "spongier" city as part of a £30 million investment by United Utilities aimed at helping the city better manage rainfall. The project will introduce a range of measures designed to capture rainwater where it falls, reducing pressure on sewers and drains and helping to lower the risk of flooding as extreme weather becomes more common.
