National treasure and presenting legend Lorraine Kelly chooses ten songs that soundtrack her life, as she joins Vernon Kay to choose the Tracks Of My Years, including David Bowie, Blondie, Biffy Clyro and Marti Pellow.
The stories behind the songs take us from her childhood as the daughter of a TV engineer and "following her father into TV work” (he fixed broken sets), to her early career as a journalist in Scotland, through to the highs and lows of presenting TV, including her time at GMTV. Her musical choices include a Matt Monro song dedicated to her dad, remembering interviewing George Michael, trekking through Kenya with Craig David, and many more.
Lorraine was born in 1959 and grew up in Glasgow before moving to East Kilbride and joining the local news there aged just 17. In the 80s she worked at BBC Scotland, TV-am and Good Morning Britain. Since 2010 she's hosted 'Lorraine' and recieved many awards and honours including a CBE and a special BAFTA Award for her contribution to television. In 2026 she is publishes her second novel, 'The Island Secret', a sequel to 'The Island Swimmer'.
