The happy and busy beavers
A family of beavers is settling in well in Shropshire.
Beryl and Bertie were released into Shrewsbury’s Old River Bed in February 2025, bringing beavers back to the county for the first time in 400 years. They even welcomed a baby over the winter.
Mia Clement from Shropshire Wildlife Trust has been telling BBC Radio Shropshire’s Ellen Knight how they’re already transforming the landscape.
