Comedian and presenter Susan Calman joins Vernon Kay to select her Tracks Of My Years - with an in-depth conversation about her life and choosing ten songs which have soundtracked that time so far, ranging from Liza Minnelli to Faithless, via Tracey Ullman and Erasure.
In a very honest conversation Susan shares funny stories about her childhood holidays, telling her mum that she had been asked to do Strictly and arguing with her wife about her love of clutter and memorabilia in their house. She also gets emotional discussing her love of Fleetwood Mac, discovering herself at gay clubs in Glasgow and reflecting on the recent passing of her father.
Born in Glasgow in 1974, Susan Calman had a successful career in law for several years before trying stand-up for the first time at 30. After taking several years to earn a living full-time, she quit law and since then has become an established comedian and TV presenter, regularly seen on the likes of QI, as well as hosting a series of travel programmes. In 2017 she took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, dancing with Kevin Clifton, which she described as “truly the best thing I’ve ever done in my life." Susan married her long-time partner Lee in 2016. Later this year she is heading out on the road for the first time in ten years with her brand-new live show, Tall Tales.
