Malvern's 'modest' Second World War veteran
Frank Chester won the Distinguished Service Cross for his bravery in the face of the enemy, whilst serving in the Royal Navy.
Born in 1917 in Ludlow, the Worcestershire man was thought to be the oldest World War Two veteran before his passing.
His daughter Ruth shares how he spent six years with the navy, including sailing through the perilous, icy waters of the Arctic Ocean.
Frank in his later years could often be spotted around Malvern, volunteering at a local foodbank.
