Normanby Hall’s hidden role in healing WW1 wounded
More than a century ago Normanby Hall near Scunthorpe played a vital role in the First World War. The grand Regency mansion became an auxiliary hospital for wounded soldiers. Kevin Shoesmith has been to meet Madeleine Gray who is the curator of decorative arts at North Lincolnshire Museums to find out what the archives can tell us.
