Emily Blunt on growing up with a stutter
The award-winning actor Emily Blunt is best known for her iconic roles in The Devil Wears Prada, Mary Poppins Returns and most recently Oppenheimer.
But what you might not know is that Emily grew up with a stutter, which she says was ‘like an imposter living in your body’.
She joined Clare McDonnell on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour and shared why she wants to raise awareness of the impact of stuttering and how acting helped her to overcome it.
Emily also spoke about her latest role as Kitty Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster, and why the cast chose to leave the red carpet at their premiere to support the SAG AFTRA strikes.
You can listen to the full interview with Emily on BBC Sounds - it's the Woman's Hour episode from 30 November.
