Sir Bill Cash: EU treaty change 'essential'
David Cameron will not be able to deliver fundamental reform of the EU without changing its treaties, a committee of MPs says.
Conservative MP Sir Bill Cash, who chairs the European Scrutiny Select Committee, told the Today programme it is "essential" that there is a treaty change.
"The question of whether or not the European Union would be effectively dominated by the Eurozone... would require a treaty change," he said.
"We've concluded that... it is absolutely essential that we get a treaty change if we're going to actually achieve the objectives that the Prime Minister has set out," he said.
