Bobby Keys tribute: He was the sound of rock and roll saxophone’
Bobby Keys, known for playing the saxophone with the Rolling Stones, passed away aged 70.
Friend and musician Daniel Hutchens remembers collaborating with Keys and what the saxophonist was like as a person.
Hutchens, lead singer of Bloodkin said: “He was just a down to earth, real musician, he took his music really seriously…he wasn’t pretentious at all. He was a real nice guy”.
“He was the quintessential rock and roll saxophone player…he was the sound of rock and roll saxophone”.
