Story behind Pete Scott's songs
Pete is a Geordie singer and song-writer who sings in dialect. He has been performing in the folk clubs of the North East since the 70s and has performed with high profile acts such as Lindisfarne and Janis Ian. He is one of the North East's top singer/songwriters. A lot of his songs are fun, including a modern day version of 'The Blaydon Races' he was asked to write 2 years ago, by BBC Newcastle. But behind the toe-tapping tunes lies Pete's story of the loss of his wife three years ago and the role that his faith has played in coping with her death.
