The Music Is Black Funky Friday special
DJ Spoony joins Trevor for a special hour of Funky Friday!
DJ Spoony joins Trevor for a special hour of Funky Friday, celebrating Black music made in Britain. It’s in collaboration with the V&A East’s The Music is Black exhibition, exploring 125 years of Black British music.
We won’t quite stretch back that far… but Trevor and Spoony will be playing some of their favourite funky tracks from Black British icons - including Craig David, Beverley Knight, Shirley Bassey, Sade, Aswad and more.
Produced by BBC Audio for BBC Radio 2.
