Craig Gordon

Legendary goalkeeper Craig Gordon grants behind-the-scenes access to his life over 12 months as, at the age of 42, he makes one last attempt to reach a World Cup.

Craig Gordon is as famous for his resilience and defiance of strikers, coaches, critics and doctors. He has granted BBC camera’s unprecedented access to his life over 12 months as, at the age of 42, he makes one last attempt to reach a World Cup.

Along the way, we learn about the miracle saves and miracle comebacks from injuries that should have ended his career and that have allowed him to still compete at the top level for so many years.

From a prodigy at Hearts, to a record breaker in the English Premier League and an invincible at Celtic, Craig Gordon has had a career like no other, but there is one thing still missing - an appearance at a World Cup. To get there, he will have to overcome opposition on the pitch as well as the limitations of his own body as he battles injuries to keep the dream alive.

A fascinating insight into the mind of one of Scotland’s most driven athletes.
