SHERELLE explores pioneering 70s and 80s clubs Heaven, Blitz, Bang and Birmingham’s The Nightingale.

Soundtracked by music from these nights we meet DJ, artist, writer and fashion icon Princess Julia, part of the Blitz Kids club scene, who reflects on 1976 superclub Bang; spectacular Birmingham performance artist Twiggy, who’s been involved with The Nightingale club for decades and witnessed its evolution from backstreet speakeasy to today’s multi-floor venue; founder of Heaven, Jeremy Norman on the venue that brought gay clubbing out of the shadows and into the mainstream; and DJ, producer and drag icon, Jodie Harsh who shares her first ever clubbing experience at G-A-Y.
