Reflective musical refuges ft. Nikita Gill

Escape with Erland Cooper and a selection of music that brings a sense of roots and belonging. Also, the writer and poet Nikita Gill shares her musical safe haven.

Scottish composer and musician Erland Cooper invites you to escape to a reflective musical refuge with him, with songs that bring consolation from Joanna Brouk, Alessandra Novaga and Harlan Silverman, and musings on family, roots and a sense of belonging.

Also, the Irish-Indian writer, playwright and poet Nikita Gill shares a song she discovered at the beginning of her teenage years, reflecting on how it brought her peace in that particularly turbulent time, and why she still turns to in moments when she needs musical consolation.
