Vinyl Weekender: Earthy, nature inspired sounds… with Zakia

Zakia selects her favourite nature inspired songs on the 6 Music Vinyl Weekender, in honour of Earth Day, and is joined by special guests Green-House for their Dreambience mix.

DJ, broadcaster, writer and dreamer Zakia Sewell provides the soundtrack to your dreams - playing music to ease the mind, soothe the soul, and open portals to new dimensions.

Zakia looks forward to Earth Day 2026 by pulling out some of her favourite nature inspired songs. Including a track devoted to the migratory bird, the Canada Warbler, some ecological reggae and a selection from an environmental protest album released on the first ever Earth Day.

Plus, we hear a specially crafted mix of extra soothing songs and sounds from the LA based duo, Green-House, aka Olive Ardizoni and Michael Flanagan.
