Lemar is to play an exclusive live gig at Maida Vale for 1Xtra BBC. 1Xtra will be broadcasting Lemar's set in a special one-hour programme on Saturday 14 October 2006 at 7.00pm. Tracks from the session will also be featured by Trevor Nelson in his BBC Radio 1 show earlier in the day. On Monday 16 October, digital TV viewers will be able to press the red button for exclusive behind the scenes footage from the gig, with a Lemar interview, backstage gossip, as well as the show itself. Lemar will be performing tracks from his recently released album The Truth About Love. One hundred lucky 1Xtra and Radio 1 competition winners will see the show through a series of giveaways being run on both stations. Laura Lukanz, Head Of Music 1Xtra, said: "We're really excited that we're able to give Lemar fans from 1Xtra and Radio 1 a chance to catch Lemar in what promises to be a very special live show." Lemar added: "I'm really looking forward to playing this intimate show for 1Xtra and performing tracks from my new album. I'm a big 1Xtra fan so that makes the show even more exciting for me!"
