Final member of Rightmove burglary gang jailed

The final member of a gang who used Rightmove and Google to steal more than £1m worth of luxury items has been jailed.

Endrit Nikolli, from Walsall, was jailed for 10 years for being part of group who committed at least 59 burglaries across the UK, which they "regularly gloated about", Cheshire Police said.

The 29-year-old, whose DNA was found at the scene of one of the burglaries in Staffordshire, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court.

Four other members of the gang pleaded guilty to the burglaries in Cheshire, Teeside, Derbyshire, and across the Midlands and were jailed earlier in April.

The thieves used ladders to break through first-floor windows and balconies, when they would ransack the properties and steal jewellery, designer handbags, watches and cash.

They were caught after police forces across the country noticed similarities in the raids, including the same footwear marks and same vehicles being used.

Some items have since been recovered by investigators but the vast majority are believed to have been sold on.

Det Sgt Laura Fox said: "The gang specifically targeted wealthy victims, with the aim of stealing as much high value property as possible.

"Between them, they even set weekly targets for the amount of gold that they wanted to steal.

"Throughout our investigation it has been clear that the gang had absolutely no regard for the impact that their offences would have on the victims. Instead, they regularly gloated about their crimes and shared images of ill-gotten gains."

Nikolli was jailed for conspiring to commit a burglary with intention to steal, conspiracy to possess criminal property and burglary.
