The Who release "My Generation"
3 December 1965
"My Generation" was the moment where The Who arrived as a rock band. The stuttering and aggressive vocal spoke of a pent up and frustrated youth who were struggling to find a voice. The single eventually made it to number two in the UK, in spite of the fact that initially the BBC refused to play the single because of the suggestion of the f-word in the line "why don't you all just f-f-f-.....fade away." The single was an early sign of the rebellious attitude that would pre-empt the punk movement by a decade.

Amazing programme!AMAZING! i loved every second of it.Music is one thing that keeps me going like most people i know as well. Its is one of the most important things in the life of a human being. I love a variety beginning with classical going to 60s rock till grind core,so yeah quite vast. Jimi was my 1st love and it was a really emotional to watch! Congrats! Cant wait for next week!! and the week after...!!
Karina,Walesi watched the tv show seven ages of rock and i think it was wicked and i never knew jimmy played the guitar left handed but he played a write handed guitar. ill not miss the rest of the series.
