Comedian and writer Linda Smith was recently voted The Wittiest Living Person by listeners to Radio 4's Word Of Mouth.
Her dry wit has enlivened many an addition of The News Quiz and Just a Minute.
She's also somewhat of a stalwart on TV panel shows - her resume Have I Got News For You, Room 101, They Think It's All Over, Call My Bluff, Question Time and Countdown.
Her roots lie in stand-up - she did seven years on the Edinburgh Fringe - so no-one can accuse her of not paying her dues.
Her act can take in anything from political satire to TV chefs, and part of her gift is to adapt her act to the audience each night.
