GREECE
On Easter Saturday morning people throw pots out of their windows to symbolise the rejection of Judas, so wear a hard hat if you’re visiting Greece during Easter.
FRANCE
In Haux villagers make a giant omelette every Easter Monday. Last year's omelette was made from 4,507 eggs, was almost 3 yards wide and fed about 1000 people, so take your own fork if you’re visiting Haux during Easter.
NORWAY
They read crime novels at Easter in Norway. Paaskekrim (Easter crime) refers to the new crime novels published, so take your reading glasses if you’re visiting the fjords this Easter
LATVIA
They play a game using coloured hard boiled eggs joined together with string. Players pair off and then bang then ends of the eggs together, wide end first then narrow end, until one players egg breaks. Last intact egg wins, so take a dustpan and brush if you’re visiting Latvia this Easter.
FINLAND
In the south-eastern part of Finland, they like to make a noise. Children start walking around their home village on Easter Night carrying a loud musical instrument, a ratchet or a cowbell. So take some earplugs if you visit Finland this Easter.
POLAND
On Easter Monday it is traditional to pour water on one another, a tradition with the wonderful name of "Smingus-Dyngus", so take a towel if you’re visiting Poland this Easter.
