Carolyn Green
The Moors, at the back of the racing stables is the worst road that I've ever CYCLED down. The double yellow line, which is already on a steep camber on this narrow road, has spread downwards towards the kerb in several places. There are shallow potholes and a ridge, between the eroded edge of the tarmac and the concrete slabs that form the gutter. My tyre slid sideways on the double yellow line - into the pothole and rut and I lost control of my bicyle. I was thrown against the wall at the back of the stables with such force that it shattered my humerus. I was off work for 6 weeks and I'm still in the process of recovering.
