 | | | | | | | | | | | Sanjay: Hi Mackenzie, were there any moments in the Office where you had to leave the 'scene' because you found it so funny?
Mackenzie Crook: Erm... yeah... in the Office it was incredible. We were cracking up all the time. One particular scene took 75 takes to do. I'm not the worst at it - I can usually keep a straight face while everyone else cracks up around me, which makes me feel quite humourless. Must be my professionalism! I wasn't involved in the one which took 75 takes... I just stood by and shook my head disapprovingly.
Rory Mc: Is Ricky Gervais as sinister in real life as he appears on television?
Mackenzie Crook: He's a lovely man! He's not sinister at all. He doesn't talk like David in real life. He's the opposite, I promise you - a lovely man!
WeeWeeHerman: How do you combat the evil demon of writers block?
Mackenzie Crook: Opium! Not really... I spend days with writers' block. It is a problem. I usually phone Iain Lee - he's one of my best chums and he helps me whenever I need some funny ideas. We write together quite often.
